It’s an “Arrested Development” reunion at Fox.

The Emmy-winning series’ creator/executive producer Mitch Hurwitz, co-star Will Arnett and co-executive producer Jim Vallely have teamed for another single-camera Fox comedy.

The project, which has received a script commitment, is being written by Hurwitz, Arnett and Vallely. It stars Arnett as a rich Beverly Hills jackass who falls in love with a charitable tree-hugging woman who can’t stand his lifestyle or values.

The comedy, produced by Sony TV and studio-based Tantamount, is the first project to come out of the development pact that Arnett inked with Fox in October.

Hurwitz is executive producing with his producing partners at Tantamount, Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum; Vallely; and Peter Principato and Paul Young. Arnett also serves as a producer.

Arnett recently lent his voice to “Sit Down, Shut Up,” Hurwitz’s animated comedy for Fox and Sony TV on which Vallely served as a co-exec producer.

Hurwitz and Vallely won two 2005 Emmys for penning the “Righteous Brothers” episode of “Development.” This season, the two wrote the CBS/Sony pilot “Happiness Isn’t Everything,” which starred Jason Biggs.

Arnett earned Emmy noms for his role as part-time magician Gob Bluth on “Development” and for his recent recurring role on NBC’s “30 Rock.” The actor, who co-stars in “G-Force,” will next be seen in “When in Rome” and “Jonah Hex.”

Hurwitz and Arnett are repped by WME. Arnett is managed by Principato Young. Vallely is with CAA and Brillstein Entertainment.

Michael Cera Talks Arrested Development Movie With Collider.com

When I asked Michael if he thought the “Arrested Development” movie would ever happen, his response was:

“I think it will. Yeah. I don’t see why it wouldn’t. I don’t think it will happen for awhile.”

I then said a lot of the cast members have said Mitch is working on the script and maybe you’d be shooting later this year.

Michael then replied, “But there is no rush. I think he should take his time. I know it means a lot to Mitch. There is no rush, really. I don’t think.”

So if you were excited the film would be going in front of the cameras sometime soon, it’s probably time to extinguish that dream. As a huge fan of the show, I’m more than happy to wait for writer/director Mitch Hurwitz to get it right. I just hope it’ll eventually happen.

Arrested Development Movie Shoot Today Was A False Rumor :-(

Accoring to http://www.zap2it.com/ the rumor that I help spread today about the Arrested Development Movie Filming is not true. The rumor started at onlocationvacations.com and I posted it on this site and posted it on twitter which spread like wild fire. I hate to be the one to say this but it was just a rumor, but read the excerpt from http://www.zap2it.com/:

Rumors that the “Arrested Development” movie has begun filming near Madison Square Park in New York City today are starting to spread online.

The big news — which I believe can be traced back to the movie set-stalking site onlocationvacations.com — is not true though, according to a source close to the whole “AD” operation.

“There’s not even a script yet,” the insider told me this morning.

So that’s the bad news.

The good news is that my source used the word “yet.”

“Sorry We Cancelled Arrested Development” Says Fox

Mitch Hurwitz’s new show “Sit Down, Shut Up” debut last sunday on Fox. It got terrible ratings. Why? Because Fox doesn’t know how to promote thier shows. This is the same reason why Arrested Development was cancelled, because it had poor ratings. But now that Arrested Development is running on G4, it’s been getting a huge following and people now realize how brilliant and funny the show was and were sorry they missed it while it aired on Fox.

So you better fucking apologize for cancelling Arrested Development, but better yet, make it up to us by financing the Arrested Development Movie instead of a cartoon to rival Family Guy, which you know it can’t do.
